Also a description of the technologies used to create the site would be fun!

RoboFAQs was dreamed up as a STEM outreach project by the marketing and communications (Marcom) sub-team of Team 2108 in Cary, NC. We were talking about how Dean and Woodie had said it was really important for everyone in FIRST to engage in outreach, so we thought RoboFAQs would be a cool way for everyone in FIRST to be able to do that TOGETHER!

By coincidence I am both the Marcom mentor of the team as well as one of the leaders of an open source software project called OSQA: The Open Source Q&A System, so it was a little like peanut butter and chocolate. We had RoboFAQs.com up and running early in the build season, and some of the kids started populating it with questions and answers.

RoboFAQs is beginning to build up some steam, but there's a long, long way to go. We would appreciate any help we can get to spread the word and get more people into the community sharing what they know and learning from others.

The presentation in Atlanta was given by Lucy R., Tatiana M. and Elissa H. - three talented members of the Marcom team who got up early to make it over to that 8AM session! We are very proud of them, and we're glad you're here.
